Privacy Policy
Passion Safe Storage ("we", "us") operates the self storage facility at 109 Elevator Road, Delisle, Saskatchewan S0L 0P0 and the website passionsafe.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
- Contact details: name, mailing address, email address and phone number.
- Rental details: unit or stall rented, lease terms, alternate contact, vehicle or trailer details for parking, and government photo ID used to verify identity at move-in.
- Payment details: card or bank account information, which is collected and stored by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
- Access records: gate and unit access events from our smart lock and gate system.
- Communications: emails, text messages, call recordings and notes from your conversations with us.
- Website data: basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site working and understand how it is used.
How we use it
- To rent you a unit or parking stall, manage your account and provide access to the facility.
- To process payments, send receipts, and send rent reminders and account notices.
- To answer your questions and provide customer service.
- To keep the facility secure and to enforce our rental agreement.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Text messages (SMS)
If you provide your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we will send account-related messages such as payment reminders, receipts, access and gate information, and replies to your questions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of renting.
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver the messages on our behalf.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed for that purpose. These include our facility management and website software provider, our payment processor, our gate and smart lock access provider, our customer service and call answering provider, and our email and messaging providers. These providers must protect your information and use it only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information when required by law, or to collect amounts owed under a rental agreement.
Where it is stored
Some of our service providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information stored there may be subject to the laws of that country.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as your rental is active and afterwards for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, and then securely delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to optional uses such as text messages. Email us at one@passionsafe.com and we will respond within 30 days.
